9 Months Passes By Quickly

We're so happy to share that our baby is healthy and trucking along just fine in the womb. We've begun visiting the clinic once a week, and we love hearing the heart beat. Today, he/she had the hiccups. It made us laugh.
Painting
I'm posting this, because I'm more than motivated to get the painting completed for the nursery before the little one makes the grand appearance. Here's a sneak preview of what's happening with the painting. More photos are sure to come soon. I'm working on it tonight.

Sovgunga

Leave it to Swedish designers to create something of this sort. I love the concept. The Sovgunga could be used anywhere there is a door/frame. For me, this means I could have the babe with me in any room (or even outdoors).

Silke Leffler

The whimsical illustrations that Silke Leffler creates are simply amazing. So when I found the Fabler collection at IKEA, I knew what I would be using as the bulk of the inspiration for my nursery.

KLTworks Inspires the Nursery

I'm hungry, tired, and crabby quite often these days. I just wanted to be the first to admit it.

Nonetheless, I've been trying to research all the essentials that we will need for our little tike. And as I research, I often get sidetracked and run into other sites that motivate and inspire me to decorate the nursery. Anyway, I absolutely adore the creations that KLTworks offers. I especially found their son's nursery rather inspiring. It's simple, cute, and functional. That's exactly what I aim to do with our nursery for our little one.

And check out these adorable plush animals and pillows that are available in their etsy shop or on their site.

Nursery Inspiration

I recently found a new shop that has begun inspiring new ideas for the baby and the nursery. I want to create several of my own characters that I intend to use for decorations, but Nordic Kids could inspire me for hours. Below are just a few of my favorites.

Since most of this is too out of our budget, I'll use the designs as inspiration, and do most of our shopping in IKEA.
On another note: I've even made a shop of my favorite kids' toys; I'm calling it Play Time.
