American Accent

Have you ever wondered what kind of an accent you have? Well, my friend sent me this survey, because that is a continual topic in our conversations. I thought that it was rather entertaing, since I grew up in Kansas. I was born and raised there, and I always thought it was odd when my mom would say "warsh the dishes" instead of "wash the dishes." And now that I live in New England, the thing that constantly bothers me is when others add an "r" to the end of a word, and say "ah" instead of the "ar" sound. Having said that, let's "pahk the Honder Accohd in this spot."

I'm not from Chicago, but I wouldn't mind claiming to be from that area. But according to this survey, I'm definitely an Inland Northerner, and yes, I prefer to call "soda" pop.
