It's been a while since I posted the happenings from the Handke home on the east coast, so I thought I should share what our streets looked like today. The two of us were able to watch the marathon from our front window, and the streets were a major part of the 110th Boston Marathon. Everyone had the day off work for the most part, because it's a state holiday... Patriot's Day! In other words, it was a major party on the Boston streets. Of course, we didn't really know anyone that we could cheer on. Who knows, maybe we'll know someone next year.
