During the nineteenth century, hundreds of people would climb to the top of this hill on Sundays just for the view. When it's not rainy, I guess you can actually see the peaks of the Washusett Mountains and other mountain tops and all the way to the islands of Boston Harbor. Until late in the nineteenth century, this hill is where children would gather for toboggan runs, and gypsies would camp here during the spring and fall.
